What is this thingamabob?

I found this piece of plastic on the bathroom floor of my Tab 400 Boondock model.  We can't figure out where it goes in the bathroom.  Does anyone know where this little thingamabob goes"?

    I just about took our bath apart when taking out sink and replacing fan. Never saw that plastic piece. By elimination I vote for an attachment on the shower curtain or shower railing.

      How big is it?   4 inches across or 1/8" ?   Cannot tell from photo.

    The bottom of the round part is 1 inch across and it is a little over an inch tall.

    Checked my shower rail and I was wrong. Only round plastic bits in my shower are white and hold the shower pan / floor in place.

     Maybe take a mirror in look behind at workings of toilet.   Mine has some similar parts, not same.   Also mirror under the toilet pedal and into the pedal-toilet connection.   Boy, stumping me so far

    @TimandLaurie, check to see if it might be the cap to a toilet bowl bolt.  I did a reverse image search n Google and found a very similar one:
