Solar Success

As one of my projects for this spring I installed a 200ah lithium battery. As part of the installation I deleted the battery box and vent leaving a hole in the side of the trailer and decided to make an outside solar connection for my 140w Zamp portable panels. I also needed to install a new controller that was lithium compatible so a Renogy Voyager 10am is now under the bed. This last weekend I finally got the opportunity to try out the panels in a sunny camp site at a family reunion and was surprised that the panels were able to bring the battery up from 79% to 100% in about 4 hrs. It’s a simple system, no inverter, no roof mounted panels but it works!

I was also surprised at how fast my solar suitcase recharges my two 100AH lithium batteries I installed inside my T@B over the Winter. I use the 200 watt Renogy portable panels with the Renogy controller mounted inside the front tub closer to the batteries.

The nüCamp factory installed Sunflair 193-watt solar panel installed on our TaB400, recharges our 200 amp.hr. battery after powering thenTaB fridge and lights all night, by mid day.
    cheers
