Locked out by dog

Another T@B camping lesson. Our little dog was inside the camper in the AC during a hot day. She managed to jostle the door handle UPWARD and lock us out and the keys safely inside!
After some thought of wrecking cargo compartment lock and sliding in to crawl out from under the bed my wife had a better suggestion.
Earlier in the year our entry side round window fell out (parked at home thankfully) and I repaired it with advice from Nucamp. Since the skinny window in the door has the same age and UV wear, I had planned to remove and repair it for good measure.
It did indeed have a weak spot of sealant tape, and we were able to peel it off by hand and retrieve our mischievous dog.
Now the camper keys are kept in the Tow Vehicle. Another lesson learned.

You asked for it.......

After seeing your dog, I'm thinking maybe locking you out was no accident -
The face of a hardened criminal if I ever saw one (having spent a few years in law enforcement). Without question, that was no "accident." Please do an inventory of all valuables left in the trailer during this event. I'm sure you'll find other things missing.2016 Outback 320

That's good information! I've read so many stories of people locking themselves out of their T@B 400s, and yours is the first to mention removing that window. Genius!
