Help! Sewer hose gets stuck and won’t come off!

I purchased a camco rhinoflex hose to empty my grey tank on myvtab 320s 2022,  but I’m having a horrible time getting the bayonet fitting on and off. Today I got it on fairly easily but spent 20 minutes trying to get it off. As you can imagine I was neither clean nor in a good temper when I finally got it off with a pipe wrench. Any suggestions?

We carry a set of these wrenches that are made for this hose. Not perfect, but helps our older hands get the job done.
Also, we'll frequently clean the surfaces and rub a light coat of lubricant on them. It seems to help too.

My trailer's outlet cap is different than the hose, the fittings at the ground vary... This is a mechanics oil filter tool that works well on all brands of RV waste hoses and many other things: IMO much more useful than those single purpose plastic "wrenches".   Several choices under $10

One of the things that help my "grip", besides a fancy tool, is a pair of work gloves.  It keeps your hand from slipping ever so slightly and may help you get the connector off.

What really helps is some cheap lithium grease like the stuff you use on your tow ball. Just apply a thin coat around your outlet every so often. I think these fittings seize because of lack of lubrication.

Agree. Thick leather work gloves give you a lot more grip. I also set the sewer hose connection onto a low work surface (maybe 3’ tall) and crouch down “hugging” the connection for maximum leverage to get the job done.  It’s a lot tougher in cold weather. Lubricant seems like a good idea.
