Hi, I have a 2017 TAB 320 and it came with a wonderful hand crank thing for lowering the four stabilizer legs of the trailer. Alas I have forgotten it at home and am 6 hours away at a campground.

If I were to swing by a Walmart, what tool would I want to pick up to lower and raise the stabilizer legs? I tried a socket wrench with various size sockets and the don't work.

Thanks!

You need one like that, maybe available at Walmart, make sure it's the slotted type like the one shown here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/BAL-21100003-Slotted-Cordless-Drill-Adapter-for-Stabilizing-Jacks/50313957?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0

If this tool is not in stock, there are a couple of approaches that come to mind.
    1. Pick up a vice grips and wrap a bit of cloth under jaws to limit damage to leveler.
    2.  A lumber store would sell EMT conduit and hacksaw, slot each end to accept leveler and screwdriver shank as turning device.
    3.  We often forego levelers if sleeping hitched up to truck on enroute stays.
    Good luck.

FWIW, earlier this year we loaned a pair of Vice Grips to another camper in a situation similar to yours.

  • Its a 19mm bolt head. A 19mm socket will operate it. I have to use same in my driveway where I don't have room for the long handled doohickey that came with the camper.

The 19mm bolt head version came out later.  Our 2019 has it, but our 2016 had the version shown in the original post.

We bought this one but it’s not really tight enough to work well so we are still doing it manually. I will try the one @Mickerly bought. Is it a tight fit? We are a 320U 2019.

@ColleenD2 - we use the Ultra-Fab, too.  It works well with our drill.

We have a 2018 CS. If it is a little loose, set it on the driveway with the grove horizontal. Whack it once or twice with a hammer to tighten it up. Start softly in case it is mild iron.  ; )
