Nucamp /Alde service in Colorado

Hello all, I am new to this group and have been reviewing the forums looking for a service center for my nucamp 2020 T@B 320 Boondock lite. I have surmised that there are not very many service centers that service Nucamps or repair the Alde system. Does anyone have a recommendation For a traveling RV service or somewhere on the front range, I can take it? I did see somewhere in Colorado Springs and a lot of “not so good”reviews about Windish in Longmont. We could also go to Grand Junction we live 3 hours away from the front range and Grand Junction. Appreciate any advice it seems that our Alde system is on the fritz.

Whenever I turn the valve to camping season mode for the hot water and turn on the water pump, the glycol is filling up in the reserve tank / reservoir and overflowing into the camper and pouring out the excess drain tube underneath the camper. I thought maybe it was an air bubble but it seems there’s some corrosion or something going inside the Alde system causing this. If I turn the valve back into winterizing mode for the hot water for the Alde, then it stops overflowing. The Alde heat intran works fine. My assumption is It has something to do with the hot water boiler. I’ve reviewed a lot of forums looking for any other cases of this happening and haven’t found one. I just need to bring it to somebody to fix it. Probably need a new reserve tank and cap glycol change and hopefully the Alde can be repaired so I don’t have to replace it but I may have to. It seems there are not very many RV repair folks mobile or otherwise that know anything about this Alde system.

@Sharon_is_SAM thank you for the links. Yes, this is the issue with our T@B. I need to find an rv service person in Colorado that can help fix or replace the Alde.

We bought our 2020 Tab 320 CS-S from Windish in Longmont. We were very unhappy with the sales experience (they were clueless on the pickup walkthrough and dissed me for knowing more than them, like for instance where the hot water heater drain valve was...!) and haven't returned there for service so I can't really comment on their service department. I did have Windish in Lakewood flush the Alde system under warranty last year, they seemed to know what they were doing and no issues, but I don't have any insight beyond that for their expertise in repair, sorry. It is disappointing Windish is a Nucamp dealer, I wish someone more reliable carried them locally.2021 T@B 320 CS-S Boondock / 2020 Ram 3.0 EcoDiesel

@jebjam thank you! That is at least something. We are up in Steamboat so wherever we go will be a haul. I think we are going to wait until fall to bring it anywhere so we can keep camping. We don’t necessarily need the hot water. 😀

@Sharon_is_SAM very very slim chance its under warranty unfortunately. I will definitely look into it though. Just glad to know what the issues is and how to keep camping this summer. I love this little camper!

We're in Grand Junction and there isn't a NuCamp service center here. NuCamp referred us to Holiday RV in Poncha Springs. As jebjam said, Windish RV Center in Lakewood (just east of Simms on 6th Avenue) is an option. We're also at least 4 hours from either service center.2022 T@B 400 BD, 2018 Toyota Tundra, Palisade, CO

@pthomas745 yes it seems that is exactly what is going on with ours. We have had zero issues prior and make sure that all of the water is out of the boiler before we winterized. Again glass half full as long as we can still camp, I don’t need the hot water and will look into replacement in the fall. I appreciate everyone’s insight on this awesome little camper.

Hi @josiet. Welcome! I’m in Denver. I was researching Alde service in Colorado for an issue that I was eventually able to resolve myself. But before that I found and made an appointment with a place in Colorado Springs for service. I can’t find the email but I think it’s Sun City Trailers https://www.suncitytrailers.com/. I found them by searching for Nucamp Cirrus (their truck camper that also has the Alde) dealers/service.I also remember getting referred to TransWest which has a few locations in Colorado. I know I called them but can’t remember if they could service Alde. I know these options aren’t close to SS but hope this helps!

I would stay away from Windish like the plague especially the one in Longmont -- they will not even talk to you if you didn't purchase from them & they are bottom of the barrel all the way around. I have told Nucamp how bad they are & it is not good reputation for Nucamp to have them as a dealer. I think Cousins RV ( it's Longmont or Loveland I believe) can & does work on Alde & Nucamp. I called Cousins when my 320S got hail damaged & they took time to answer my questions so my first experience with them just over the phone was positive. I have not had service from them yet so I can't speak to that. TransWest, as far as I know only works on high end RVs-- think $300K - $1M.2018 Tab 400

Colorado Service-- I live in Colorado in the front range, And have seen quite a bit of discussion about how difficult it is to find someone to maintain the Alde system and flush glycol. Windish in Longmont is crap.
I just want to post a recommendation for Sun City Trailers (719) 573-0807 in Colorado Springs.
They actually replaced my Alde 3 years ago, and I just went back and they flushed the glycol for me. They are fantastic to work with and given that Colorado Springs is 2 hours away, they allowed me to schedule on a day I was going to be driving through town anyways. Love them!
