Low voltage battery alarm

I have a 2024 Tab 400 with the 100 a/h battery and got a low battery alarm the other day so I opened up the victron app to check the status and it showed 98% charge but also showed low voltage for the starter battery. Anyone know what that means?

Don't worry about the "starter battery". The Victron shunt can monitor 2 batteries, the "main" and the "starter". In your case there is no starter battery so I'm not surprised that it's reading low.Which bit of kit was issuing the low battery alarm? If it was the Victron, open the app, got to settings, then misc and set the Aux input to "none". Should fix it.Roger and Sue Hill | 2020 T@B400 Boondock (Cryst@bel) | 2022 Land Rover Defender 110 - P400 | San Juan Island, WA

The alarm was coming from the panel on the wall next to the door saying low battery but the Victron app said 97% and a couple minutes later the inverter shut down and in the morning when I got up the battery was dead, so I started my generator for a couple hours then drove 4 hours to my next stop and that night I was still getting the the alert on the app but not on the control panel and the system ran all night with no problems.

There are many many posts over on the FB pages about batteries in the newer trailers....and almost every single one seem to have incorrectly set up Victron devices, both the Smart Solar and Smart Shunts. So: lets see your settings pages for the Shunt (if you have one) and the Smart Solar. And: the inverter sucks down 1.2 amps per hour, all by itself. If you are not using the inverter in some way, it should be off.

I second what @pthomas745 wrote. There have been numerous cases in which the shunt wasn't set up properly.Possibilities:>Set up for the wrong battery (lead acid instead of lithium)
>Battery not fully charged when initially connected to shunt, resulting in incorrect SOC readingsSan Francisco Bay Area

i don’t think that’s the problem because we have been using the trailer on battery power with the inverter on many times and never had an issue until this last trip and it only did it once , the next night it worked fine. I did go into the Victron app and delete the starter battery and that got rid of the alarm.

We only turn on the inverter to watch TV

Hello:I have had intermittent alarms go off since I got my 2008 TAB, although I don't think it's anything like a low battery alarm. My husband has installed two golf cart batteries in it, but I am wondering if that was a good idea. Any thoughts?2008 Clamshell Fresno CA

You need to identify what alarm is sounding. Two golf cart batteries will generally double your available amp hrs, so, that is not a problem.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio
