Generator trips breaker

We have a 2022 T@B 400 and a Honda EU2200i inverter generator. Almost every time we disconnect the power cord from the generator the 40A breaker near the battery disconnect switch trips. I have tried both removing the power cord and just shutting down the generator and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Has anyone had this experience? Is the breaker too sensitive? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have same set-up with the honda and never once had anything trip when pulling the power cord. I only make sure the Aldi is off, but even then, if I forget, it has never tripped a fuse either.Full-time rving since 2006, tab owner since 2022
