Connect jackery 12V to lithium battery terminals?

Can I partially charge the 100Ah lithium battery with a jackery 500Whr pack by simply connecting the 12V jackery output to the battery terminals? Seems like the higher voltage of the lithium battery might not allow the Jackery to charge the lithium battery

Correct, you need 14.4V to get the LiFePo battery to fully charge and at least over 13.4-ish V to get a little charge into it. The Jackery is LiFePo as well but the nominal voltage of a 4 cell LiFePo is only 12.8V.

Doing this would be the same as wiring two lithium batteries in parallel. One would only charge the other to the point that they both would eventually balanced to the same state of charge. Generally not a good idea. Better to use one source at a time with the other disconnected from the system.

Got it. One more idea into the trash can!
