So what do YOU use the oddly shaped door pockets for?

Alright creative campers, give me some great ideas for using the door bins. Bonus question: what do you think the designer intended them for, if anything?

    Trailer manuals?  Large utensils?
Speaking as an owner with the older "flat" door, I'm sure I could think of something!

I use mine for bug spray, small umbrella, flashlight, extra dog leash,  small towel for wiping paws, poop bags.  FYI, I also hung a couple of command hooks for wet jackets, dog leash/harness, etc.

This has been a curiosity for me. The newer door with the plastic molded pockets and the different locking mechanism has always looked backwards engineered to me. It looks like they changed the locking mechanism and then discovered that screen door wouldn't fit. After framing the screen, moving it into the cabin further, they had a gap so they added random shaped pockets to fill the void. Probably not how it happened, but regardless, I prefer the flat door. ;)

We don't use the door pockets much. I would have preferred a larger window on the door.

AFAIK the door comes in one piece from Europe, which tracks because it looks so much like most of the caravans we saw over there in utility and style.

In every camper we have had we mostly keep the door window covered, so I could care less about the size of that. Sometimes we may put the "campsite paid for" tag or whatever in that window if it can't be in the truck...

For the pockets, what are the kind of things you may want to grab from outside easily, or grab as you step out?

    Maps? Keys? Lighters?

Marlee mentioned bug spray, dog bags (Would have used those back when we had our pup...), etc.

Maybe our small wisk broom or duster? I like the pen and notepad (except it will get wet if rainy).

I have been thinking about this as we wait for our first outing...  ;)
