What solar controller app do you use?

So I noticed that the old SolarLink app I had on my iPhone will no longer open. I did a search on google play and the App Store and nothing comes up for SolarLink. I have a 2018 S with one solar panel and the PWM SR-HP2440-B controller in the Tab. So what bluetooth app do you all recommend I download and use? Or is there a way to reset the SolarLink app on my phone so that it will open?

Most TaB owners use Victron controllers and battery monitors. They network using the VictronConnect via Bluetooth.

This thread discusses the SRNE app that used to work with that version of the solar controller. I have a newer controller from Rich solar, and the SRNE works with that controller, also. It seems to be a pretty common app for all sorts of controllers based on the same design.

Thx. I downloaded the latest SRNE app and it works, found the controller and shows the solar panel, etc. The old SolarLink app can’t find the controller so while it opens and looks for the device, it’s not able to find it. I think that app is obsolete anyway and the SRNE one seems to show that the pane is putting out current.

However, although I know a lot of things, how to interpret solar panel output isn’t one of them! It was fluctuating from around 19 volts to as high as 32 volts output, and the battery shows 100% charged (I currently have a led acid but have lithium on order). Should I just assume that the panel will top up the battery during the day, to be used w lights etc at night?

The output from a solar panel is dependent on a lot of things. What battery setup do you have? What is telling you it is "fully charged?" There can be many variables for solar output depending on those sorts of questions.

If the battery is in need of charging, and the panels are in full sun, no shading or clouds, etc, the solar input numbers should stay fairly consistent.

My Renogy suitcase solar panel comes with a waterproof, lithium and AGM compatible controller. Integrated and super easy to use with an SAE connector.
