Problem with Alde heat

Member Posts: 52
Turned on the Alde on my 2018 320s to get heat using 120 electric and got no response. I was getting 120 to the trailer but, looking at the standby screen there was no electric plug icon, as is shown in the Alde manual to indicate that "120 volt is connected to the heating." The Alde breaker was not tripped. Any ideas of what is causing my problem?

Check the Priority setting. Is it set to propane, and is propane turned on at the tank valve?Susan & Bill, Yarmouth, Maine

@jalars8 also check that the ADLE 120VAC power cord is plugged in.
It is a known issue that the plug can vibrate out of the outlet while traveling.

@jalars8, both of the previous posts provide good advice. In the below discussion, I posted a photo showing how I secured my 120V plug:

Muttonchops - you were correct about the plug. Thank you and thank you also to Bill&Suze and Bayliss. I have another question - adding fluid in the expansion tank, I added too much and got the level to about half way between minimum and maximum marks. How much of a problem is this? Since having it at half inch above minimum mark is the rule, what is the point of the maximum mark?2018 T@B 320S. Tow vehicle: 2020 Toyota Hylander Hybrid

A fluid level between the min/max lines will be fine. As the system runs the glycol will heat and expand and you will see the expansion tank level change.
Worse case if you over filled the tank (above the max level) . . . when the glycol expands during operation any excess fluid will drain out the trailer bottom. There is a clear tube from the expansion tank top that is routed down to the ground in the Alde compartment.
