We've been on a fairly long trip, and after one of the days, I opened the stove lid to see that the burner plate on one burner had come apart, and the other burner plate was loose. After searching, I found two screws in the top drawer under the stove. I could see that one screw was still holding the other burner plate on, but one was missing. I removed the stove top from the counter and turned it over to remove the metal cover plate so I could put the burner plate back on, and the other screw that was missing rolled out. I put a little blue loctite on the screws so they wouldn't back out again.
The other issue I found was that there was some corrosion on the bottom cover plate below the igniter, and some gunk around the connector for the igniter. I unscrewed the igniter button, and the AAA battery was completely corroded over. Might be another maintenance item to remove/replace the battery after each season. I prefer to use a hand lighter anyways, so I likely won't replace the igniter.

Here's the stovetop in place. Simple two burner with igniter.
The igniter button simply unscrews to change the AAA battery.
Here's the burner plate that had vibrated loose and was banging around under the grates. (The other burner plate was also loose, but only 1 screw had fallen out, so it was still attached).
The plate screws in from underneath, so I had to remove the stovetop from the counter (two screws on either side, and push up from underneath after removing the top drawer). Disconnect from gas line in back left corner.
Dumbo to the rescue.
