Replacing hardwired CO/Propane detector with battery-operated one

We purchased a previously owned T@B 320S in November 2020 from a large RV dealer. Turns out they didn't notice that the Atwood CO/propane detector had expired in August 2020. During a recent service visit at another dealer, they spotted it and want about $150 to replace it because it's hard-wired. Anyone tried replacing one? Could I replace it with a battery operated one? Thanks!
