New tires

Sitting in the waiting room of Holeston Tire in Cannifston, Ontario, Canada, waiting on new tires. We stopped in Nappanee for gas and I did my usual check of the trailer. I knew the tires were getting worn and planned to get new ones when we got home. Looking them over, I noticed some very worrying cracks in the tread portion. There was a Canadian Tire on the other side of The 401 (major east-west highway), but they didn't have what we needed. Long story, short: we ended up here and they have some 225/75-15s in stock. It's a 10-ply radial, so I'm swapping both out. Looks like a good price; about $125 US, with currency conversion. The tire is currently jacked up and they look like an Indy pit crew (ok... maybe not quite like that, but they got right to work).
Assuming all goes well, I can heartily recommend Holeston Tire if you're ever in the area.

A few years back we weren't as fortunate to notice the wear ahead of time and had a blowout. After swapping out the spare, we headed to the nearest tire store and got there minutes before closing, but they took the job. We didn't even have to disconnect. Four guys and two floor jacks had the whole trailer off the ground and the new tires mounted incredibly fast. Truly Indy pit crew team work worthy.TresK3 said:... they look like an Indy pit crew (ok... maybe not quite like that, but they got right to work). -
Update...Back at the tire place, but it's all good.As we were getting on The 401 my wife asked "when will we need new tires on the Durango?" to which I replied "as soon as they come on sale, when we get home." The current Firestones have about 65K miles on them and I knew we would need new ones soon. Another long story, shortened, we pulled off at the next exit, called the tire place and yes, they could set me up with a set of Pirelli's for about what my tire place at home had quoted, before we left (give or take, depending on new tariff's etc.). A quick trip around the block and we're parked in the same spot, but with the car jacked up now.
Also, I misspelled names in my first post; it's Holgate Tire and Battery in Cannifton, Ontario. They're just north of Bellville, if you're looking on a map. They also do auto service, if you are in need.2019 Tab 400 Boondock Lite
