Need Replacement Trim on Front of 2018 T@B 320S

ReenieGReenieG Member Posts: 282
I'm looking to replace the front trim piece, not the outside pieces, but the very front going from handle to handle behind the front tub. It fits into an aluminum rail similar to a keder rail and is on the very front of the T@B behind the propane/battery tub. I crushed it when I was replacing my old plastic tub with the new aluminum diamond plate. You can see the area that's cracked and crushed in the closeup pic. It looks like it's mainly there to cover the screws. I'm hoping someone has replaced this with something from either a hardware store or Amazon maybe? Any ideas? TIA

@ReenieG, I don't have my trailer to look at that piece, but if I recall correctly, it is a rigid screw cover trim.  If it is 1/2" wide, the first link below might work (just cut it to the correct length).

UPDATE:  I copied and enlarged your photo to see it clearer to see if I was mistaken as to what you need.  It appears that what you are actually looking for is the upper and lower strips (but probably a single trim piece) that are curved on each side and hold the screw cover insert.  Is that correct?  If so, I'm not sure what that is called, but the closest I could find is "Rub Rail Trim", so you might try searching online for that.  Better yet, it might help to contact nuCamp and provide a close-up photo to them so they can provide you with a part number, or what it is called so you can search online for a replacement.

Here's a link for a heavy duty, but flexible 1" wide trim, but I don't believe that is what you are looking for:

@Bayliss here's a more detailed closeup of what I'm looking for. I don't want take it out unless I can find a replacement because it's inside the track and held in place by the black rubber edge trim.
It's kind of like the plastic filler from the keder rails only more durable. There are screws in the rail underneath the trim.
I contacted nucamp but they were no help, referring me back to call an rv dealer while the rv dealer has asked me for a part number.

@ReenieG, the photo is still a bit blurry, but I found one of mine that I enlarged (see below).

It looks to me like the "rigid" insert I included in my earlier post is the piece you are looking for, but maybe I am just not clear on what was actually smashed/broken.  In the photo below, the trim with the red arrow is pointing at that insert.  The blue arrows point to the upper and lower curved outer edges of what is likely a flat piece of trim (on the backside), which has a channel for the rigid trim to be inserted into.  (NOTE:  I just noticed that these photos, when posted, are showing up much smaller than they have in the past.  My photo looks larger/clearer on my end when I add it to my message, but when it posts, it displays quite a bit smaller.  Something must have happened with how photos are now posting).

@Bayliss my trim piece is not rigid and it is an insert like I said, similar to what is in the keder rail. It's a hard rubber type gray insert that slides into an aluminum screwed on "rail" similar to the keder rails. FWIW, I have a 2018 320S so it's probably different and why I'm having a difficult time finding this anywhere. I'm hoping this is something I can find somewhere online or at a hardware store.

@ReenieG, I believe this is just like the keder rail insert, but it is black (7/8" wide).  It may just be a matter of finding the closest size/color insert as a replacement.  Should be easy to locate with a Google search.  While I was searching, I found many sites sell similar trim (e.g., eTrailer):

    Amazon - molding-Insert-Camper-Travel (7/8")

@Bayliss I believe I have this trim saved, not sure why, lol. I'll have to measure the inside of that rail and see if it would work since there are different sizes of keder rails, if I recall.
    Thank you
