Solved - Battery change - what to do with heater cable on BattleBorn

I am switching out the BattleBorn 100 ah Lithium battery, that came stock on the T@B 400 BD, with an SOK 208 ah lithium.  The BattleBorn has an externally switched low temperature heater in their battery.  There is a separate cable attached to the BB battery to activate the heater. I’m wondering what to do with this cable once I disconnect it?  I assume I can just cap off the end of this wire and leave it as is?  The SOK battery does not have an external switch, rather it has an internal switch that activates a heater if charging at temps below 2C.  I attached a pic showing the BB battery with the red heater cable wire attached.  Thanks.

I don't have this setup but was interested in how the heater worked so I found the attached from BattleBorn. Maybe that will help as it looks similar to yours.

     Inside the manual it says:

Step Three:  Deactivating the Heat-Enable Function To deactivate the heat-enable function on your heated Battle Born Battery, simply remove the heat-enable jumper wire from the heat-enable post. Remember to tape down the end of heat-enable jumper wire with electrical tape and cover the ring terminal so it does not make contact with other live wires or grounds. Be sure to put the heat-enable screw back into the post so you don’t lose it.

Yes. I think one of the wires on the positive post goes to the switch so you can remove that one too.

    Hi,

I also removed it my 360, when I upgraded my battery.  I used that  wire and circuit  for  a new 12V plug toward the rear (where there is not one).  The battery heater wire in our 360 went to a dedicated fuse in the WFCO.

What are you doing with your 100 aH battery..I've been trying to sell mine for $450 for a while but no bites.  Trying to figure what i might use it for.

The wire is connected to a toggle switch to enable or disable the battery heat.

My 2024 320S uses a lit toggle switch, as I show on my DC wiring schematic, bottom right:

If your SOK doesn't need it, it'll be an unused switch I guess.

Thank you all for comments.  Question answered.
Yoshi asked: “ What are you doing with your 100 aH battery..”
Well, I was going to try and sell it, same as you.  See how it goes I guess.
