When I pull the grey handle, the tap door in the toilet doesn't open. It used to work but just stopped working. What could be wrong? What should I look for? Or does it just need to go in for repair? Thank you.
I have a 2017 with the same toilet, which is the "Thetford Aqua Magic V". There are many threads about failed "toilet valves", but I can't find one specifically for what it means when the flush handle doesn't open the "blade" valve there in the toilet.
When you operate the handle, is any water being put into the toilet bowl from the toilet valve? Apparently: the toilet valve has a metal rod that connects to the flush handle. When you pull the handle, the metal rod pulls open the toilet valve that allows water to go to the bowl.
This link goes shows the Aqua Magic V exploded parts list, so have a look at parts 8 and 9. (The valve and the small metal "link".
It would seem that the toilet has to come out to examine this. There are a lot of Forum threads about replacing the valve that show the basic process, which is not hard.
