Looking for a suggestion on a mattress replacement but one that is not too tall. Are there any good options other then mattress toppers which seem to not fit great.
Hi, We bought a queen mattress topper with a zippered cover. I removed the cover and carefully cut 5" of foam off one side, I did not make a corner cut because the mattress is reversible with different density foam on the 2 sides. I then carefully cut and sewed the cover to be 5" narrower. This worked well, very comfortable. When I decided on a topper for the dinette bed, I found Lounj bedding that does custom sizes. They were surprisingly quick and well priced for the topper. However their gel foam is not as dense as I like.
@Nate40, we did something similar with our 320. Bought a full size mattress that fit width wise, but needed to be shortened. It was the same dual density type mattress as you have. An electric meat cutting knife made the cutting job easy. Is that what you used?.

We went with mattress insiders. Bought the 6 inch RV with the corner cut off for the Tab 400. Best purchase ever! We used a 2 inch topper with the factory mattress and it wasn't enough. We use our camper a lot during the season and we never dread sleeping on it.
