Carpet over floor with stock heater

I am considering placing carpet over the stock floor of my 2024 tab 320. Has anyone done this? Does it work with the floor heating system?
Thanks in advance for any imput.

Well you will be putting an insulating layer on the floor, which, in my opinion, will interfere with heating and defeat the purpose of the heated floor. It will eventually get warm but it will take a while. Common sense tells me it's not a good idea.

Damn! Wish my 320 had a heated floor.  =)

... edit that carpet may block the intake of the convection heat.

@TravelBug;  Many folks, myself included, just use small rugs . . . house kitchen sink area or bathroom size rugs.  These provide middle of the night bare foot comfort, can add color, are very easy to clean (just shake them outside) and most of all do not block the Alde incoming air vents located at the bottom edge of all the benches.  Those air gaps must be clear for the Alde cabin heat to function.

I worked in an industry which included radiant floor heat. It’s done quite often.

The following is from a search up.

"Can You Put Carpet Over Radiant Floor Heating?

Yes, you can install carpet over radiant floor heating. Doing so enhances comfort while maintaining the efficiency of your heating system. It’s essential to consider specific guidelines and potential challenges during installation.

    Installation Guidelines

Choose the Right Carpet: Select carpets made from materials with low thermal resistance, such as wool or nylon. Short pile carpets maximize heat transfer, promoting effective heating.

Use Appropriate Padding: Opt for carpet padding designed for heated floors. This type of padding allows heat to pass through efficiently while providing cushioning."

    Sorry but this is counterintuitive

I was being sarcastic in my previous post hoping that some one would comment. Does the 2024 320 T@B have radiant heat in the floor? I've never heard of that.

Regardless, this is the carpet we use in our 2020 320S. Works well as long as you don't block the intake for the convection heat.

    @webers3, @westernstates
The TAB 320, 360, and 400 do not have "heated floors".
The 400 does have heat under the wetbath shower pan . . . but not a heated floor as such.

@MuttonChops I do not have 2024 320 so I assume that @TravelBug knows better than I what type of heating  2024 320 has when asking about heated floor. Anyway, covering heated floor with a carpet doesn't make sense. :)
