Thanks @MuttonChops. That function is turned on, but does not show up at any level so I have elevated that to Vanilla for an answer. Should be an easy fix for them. the other thing is the signature size and font. Some folks may have to resize it as mine was WAY too big. Yours looks fine in this thread

Still working on this but at present you have to mark EACH category from the main category list as Read:

This is not very easy and requires you to check each category. So still working on it...

This isn’t about that, but I don’t really wanna dig. I just wanna complain that I do not like gray Text. I wish it was black. I’m too old to read this lol I even turned my screen all the way up.

I agree and the Vanilla folks are working on the text and contrast issues so I will remind them and see if we can get that improved.

This new theme was aimed at a demographic best described as "not me"

Yep they are working on stuff so it is surely stirring up the gremlins

Hopefully we won’t be chasing this too long

Vanilla is adding the Mark All Read option back so that should show up soon in the Quick Links area.

and @ColleenD2 the font was adjusted and seems darker with more contrast and bolding.

Let me know what you think

Here is the answer on Mute...

    Mute Posts

    Last Updated:Feb 5, 2026

As a member of an online community, you'll likely Follow and engage with numerous posts from other users, not to mention create your own posts that others engage with. Over time, you may come across threads that produce a high volume of engagement that you're not interested in, and this engagement can result in a similar high volume of notifications that flood your inbox.

To mitigate frustration in such scenarios, Higher Logic Vanilla (Vanilla) includes the Mute Posts feature that allows you to stop receiving notifications for specific posts, without unfollowing Categoriesremoving bookmarks, or turning off post notifications as a whole. This feature is designed to reduce unwanted notifications, especially from busy or "chit chat" threads, making notification management more granular and user-friendly.

Did "Vanilla" give a completion date for the Mark All Read or improved text contrast fixes?
I don't "see any" change and would have expected updates to be completed nightly.

Am a bit surprised that the New 'Standard' Format is sooooo poor as Vanilla PR Pages suggest "it" has been in usage for a long time and is loved . . . .

So the Mark all Read option was apparently only popular with a few folks, or maybe only you and me. It is now only on the Home page, which I edited so show as Home in the title bar.

    Go here for that
    https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/

You should see the widget on R lower column. Let me know if other wise

So the routine for me is Home page to look for new posts, then the Category page to look for recent posts by category, then the Discussions page for anything else. I think it all works now

I,  as moderator made a change to the font style that created bold sections and made the text a little darker. Seems easier to read but if not enough I will go back to Vanilla. It is really not a Vanilla problem as much as a "me" problem trying to learn the forum options and being a bit overwhelmed with the jargon

Thanks, I found it and it worked.

    I didn't read/follow the Vanilla text/link
I just need the Button Location

Can't really believe You & I are the only folks that use Mark All Read
I'd never be able to read any forum if I couldn't just delete several days of 'stuff' when I login.

I use the Mark All Read option and appreciate having it restored.

I have found the Javascript options and moved the font color more to the dark end. Seems still better on my screen but the options were not really labeled well and I am trying to make incremental changes so I don't make stuff go invisible...

Let me know if we are where we need to be on contrast and readability.
