Ac on battery power

I have a 2026 Haven with the upgraded battleborn package 3000 W inverter and 270 AH battery.Can I run my ac on battery power alone. The technician at Nucamp told me the AC draws too much power at startup and the inverter cannot handle it but the manual says running the AC on battery will drain your battery quickly which tells me it should be able to run. Also the technician at the dealership told me I could run it on battery power alone.. Anyone out there have any suggestions.

    Not a Haven, but I've installed a 2000W Renogy inverter in our 320 T@B with an Air8 AC. It powers the air conditioner without a problem drawing 70+ amps at 12V. Doing the math, if yours is similar, that would give you a little over three hours of AC use and a dead battery.

    The tech told me my ac draws over 7000 watts on startup and I confirmed that on the ac manufacturers website even though it’s only for 150 ms it keeps kicking off on startup, if I start up my 4000w generator it will come on and then I shut off the generator and it runs on the inverter/ battery.

    if you really want to run the AC on battery power alone then you will need to install a soft start kit. You still will only get a couple hrs or slightly more from your batteries.

    ok thanks, I would only want to run it for a short time like when on the road we pull over to eat. We were in Nevada and it was 95 and we were sweating while we were getting some food in our last trailer.
