Ordered a T@B Q max Outback Edition back in October. We were told that it wouldn't be in until March, maybe February. Our dealer took a shipment that was turned down by another dealer about a week ago. Guess what was in the shipment... The only difference is the color. We ordered Silver on Silver and this one is the infamous black on white. We saw it on their website and went up to take a look at it last Saturday. We were both vibrating with excitement and quickly decided that the color didn't matter that much. Since we are boondockers, we had the dealer to move the battery to the tongue and install a second one. We will install a second propane tank in the box. We will be picking her up tomorrow morning and heading out Friday to camp for the weekend. Woo Hoo!!! We feel like Steve Martin in The Jerk when the new phone book came in.

What size batteries and boxes are you using, and how do you have them fastened? We are looking at getting a T@b S, and ordering it with a number of options, including that front outback aluminum rack. We like to camp in National Parks so I would like to go to dual batteries. For us in previous trailers, propane was never much of a limitation, so I am looking into two 10 lb. tanks instead of the one twenty pound one as when full, those 20 lb. tanks are pretty heavy to move.

JC, the batteries are 24's which is the standard that is installed by most dealers unless something other is requested. Our dealer fabricated a frame that they welded to the tongue to hold both of the boxes. (I'll message you a close up photo tomorrow.). The are wired in parallel. We went with two 20 lbs tanks, because we sometimes take extended boondocking trips during winter months. I'd rather be safe then sorry when running heat, a cook stove and refrigerator on propane.
