First Night

OK so far so good. Outside Cincy and it's cold tonight. Our first night in the Outback which remains thus far unnamed. Television getting reception with just a paper clip in the cable connect (per Bruce @ Haydocy), campfire burning, dinner cooked on the hotplate that we've used for years tent camping, now plugged into the outside receptacle on the T@b, beer cold and plentiful. Thankful T@b owners....

Sounds like a good time. I haven't tried it, but Bruce told me the same thing about the paperclip for the TV.

So you stick the paper clip in the cable connector on the outside. You don't need a real antenna. I wonder if you even need a paper clip??? We're staying warm, watching Penn St. v Michigan - paper clip inserted for now.

Where are you camping? We live in Florence, Kentucky, about 12 miles south of Cincinnati. That would be neat if the snow comes through tonight for your first night. Welcome and good luck.

kybob - we're up in the West Chester area. we camped this weekend at Winton Woods in Hamilton County. we probably won't be doing much more for a while besides Thanksgiving driveway camping with 9 yr old grandson until/unless the weather warms up. nice to know there are other Tab owners nearby!

Winton Woods is one of our frequent stays. It's a great campground near Cincinnati and many of our relatives. Also stayed last month at Miami Whitewater Forest when there was no room at Winton because of the Halloween weekends beginning the first weekend in October. Both campgrounds with fairly roomy sites and well maintained facilities. Perhaps we'll see you there one of these days!
