We have a pre-loved 2005 T@b, which we bought a few years ago. We had joined the UK forum as our T@b would be more similar to the ones available there, but that forum seems to have disappeared. T@bs are very few & far between here as they are no longer imported, so we hope you don't mind that we join you for the ride. We love getting & about in our T@b & also enjoy seeing what other T@bbers get up to, even if it is on the other side of the world.

I would love to hear about you travels and experiences with the T@B!

Hello I have just become the proud new owner of a 2006 T@B from Queensland (I live in Adelaide) - I love it!
just wondering if you've had to replace anything? My roof vent has not held up well under the Australian sun : ( -

Yep we drive on the wrong side of the road down under
-
t@b on the port side? Steering wheel on the wrong side? Are you sure we are not looking in a mirror? Lol.

At first I thought this was Photo Shopped. This has to be one of the best photos posted to the forum EVER. Unfortunately, the factory may start to get orders for that port side door!2016 Outback 320

It is a cool pic. I was just curious what it would look like in the U.S.

RZRBUG - how did you do that? LOL!!!2016 Outback 320

We did have to replace the roof vent. It 'disappeared' during a trip. Luckily it was on the way home. I think I prefer the replacement one as it doesn't let as much morning light in (better for sleep ins). BTW it's great to see more Australian Tabsters - they are very few & far between.Tasha_Jasper said:Hello I have just become the proud new owner of a 2006 T@B from Queensland (I live in Adelaide) - I love it!

Disappeared? What did you end up replacing it with? I'm not even sure what size the current one is, not much info in the manual.OzT@b said:

I haven't seen any others on the road yet, it certainly draws a bit of attention : ) -

Of course the door is on the wrong side
-
Yes the top flew off during transit. It did already have a broken arm, but I believe, from having read the UK forum, that the top coming off is not unusual. Also the plastic screen thing was very brittle & was starting to break.Disappeared? What did you end up replacing it with? I'm not even sure what size the current one is, not much info in the manual.

We replaced it with a Fiamma Vent 28 (no fan). It fit the hole exactly. At the time justcampersaustralia.com had the best price that we could find.
Can't seem to find the UK forum any more so I lurk here now.
Where in Queensland did you get your T@B & how did you find it? -
Thank you, that's very helpful! The screen on mine is disintegrating also : (Yes the top flew off during transit. I found it on Gumtree after quite a bit of searching and I bought it from a lovely couple in Townsville!
What colour is yours? -
Tyre pressure on the German made T@b?
-
...and just curious what kind of tyres on your T@B. The general consensus here seems to be 35psi for our tires, but there are many exceptions!

Good question, the van is now in for repair/servicing. Max load on the tyres was 450kg, I have only just worked out that's the load on each tyre - I still have a lot to learn!
The max psi on the tyre was 44. I checked them and they were set at 33 so not far off the norm : ) -
This is from our manual.
The tyres on our T@B are 205/50R16 & have this info on them -
MAX LOAD 545kg (1201 lbs)
350kPa (51psi) MAX PRESS
Hope that helps.
-
Thank you, I have the same in my manual... I am still confused, the tyres in my van are a different rating and it only gives a max pressure. I guess it depends on the weight of the van.OzT@b said:This is from our manual.
