PROPANE LEAK

Noticed a strong rotten egg/sulfur smell near the battery/LP storage box; not really any odor inside the T@B. Found a leak at the LP connection where it attaches to the T@B, not at the tank connection (see pic below). I could actually feel and hear the hiss of "air" around the nut. I tried tightening the nut, but it seems very tight and wouldn't budge. So, I turned off the propane and disconnected from the tank. I am boondocking hundreds of miles from home base, now without fridge, cooktop, or heat. I can make-do OK for the time being. Anyone had a similar problem? Ideas? Fixes?

Find some teflon tape (aka plumber's tape) and wrap the male threads twice. Try tightening the bolt again to see if that fixes the leak. Glad you found it when you did!2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

If the teflon tape doesn't work, try pipe thread sealant, if that doesn't work you may have a crack in the female fitting. The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

You can check for leaks by slathering with soapy water - shouldn't see any bubbles.John and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York

As far a as the nut being tight-- try loosening first, then tighten.
