Do portable solar panels ever get stolen while camping?

Yes. My 30w GZ panel was stolen. It's not really going to have a huge impact on me, but it is irritating that either another camper or fisherman thought they could help themselves to my panel. I did not have it secured, so I guess it's my own fault. I am boondocking by a popular fishing spot (lesson learned.)

Sorry to hear about your panel getting stolen! Some people's kids. It sucks that you can't leave anything out anymore. I usually[if I know I'll be gone for a while] unplug mine and stow it in the TV, or the trailer. Wish I didn't have to, but... I'd like to keep it for a while.2016 T@B MAX S-aka: WolfT@B

That sucks - sorry to hear :-(
About the only time I secure mine is boondocking. -
To slow down the thieves, I drilled a 1/2" hole on both of my Zamp 200W panels and attached a 12' (or possibly 15') cable to one side of the panels with a long-shank padlock. Looped the other end into itself and around the Outback aluminum platform. The panels are always locked to the cable or locked in the cargo area of my TV. The only thing I leave out unlocked is my beat-up old camp chair and $24 Walmart plastic folding table.

No, it's not your fault--it's completely the fault of the ******** who pilfered your stuff. I try to tell myself that 99.9% of the people out there wouldn't do that. Only takes one, though...

I know this is probably overkill - and if someone really wanted to, I'm sure they could find a way to take it, but I got this lock and chain -- I put the chain through the Zamp handle and through one of the legs. It then goes either around the tongue or through the handle of the T@B. Makes ME feel better.
