Has this happened to anyone else? Is it the heat? The whole wall is bulging, not just the clearcoat.

I'd send an email with the photo to Ed at Pleasant Valley. Any comment from here would probably be speculation. I'm sure Ed and Marvin have seen just about everything happen with our T@B's.

For years delamanation has been a great problem with motor homes. Normally occurring where darker colors are used as the sun gets that area hotter. What worries me about yours is my T@B is the same color as yours! Hope they can help you with this. Good luck to you & please keep us informed. Art

gulfarea - I think 90% of T@Bs are that silver color... Sure is a strange happening. Will be interesting to see what the fix is.
  • Looks like that delamination that occurs on the fiberglass / luan RV side panels with water intrusion. Didn't think that would occur with the build materials on the T@b. Disturbing...

That was my first thought but that one way back above the electrical connector is a long way away. Window frame leak?

Maybe the heat is causing the adhesives to let go, therefor the skin to bulge.

Looks like something related to water leaks. I'm would believe PV would  correct this.

Water seems unlikely as it has bone dry here and the T@b has seen very little rain. Heat seems a lot more likely, given recent conditions.

It does not appear loose, at all, it is still tight but bulging, almost like it expanded.

I emailed Ed and will let you all know what he says.

Wow... Very disturbing.   Interested to see how LG handles it & what they believe the cause was.  Sorry that's happening to your baby

Ed and I have exchanged a couple of emails - it took me a few days to respond to him while I was traveling, so it is in the process of being worked out.

We haven't actually discussed it. Honestly, after spending a very dry summer in a very hot west, it is hard to imagine, apart from heat, what the cause could be. I had not been running the a/c, and even when I eventually did run it the drip pan was bone dry - less than 14% humidity.

I think it's entirely possible, that like any other product, sometimes the Alumifiber doesn't perform as expected. This does not seem to be a widespread issue and there seems to be little cause for concern for other owners.

Update: wild be driving the T@b to PV when I pick up the T@b from the dealer after having the fridge fixed. It should be either this Saturday or next.

They are working on it. As of FRiday, they had determined what I had already told them. :)
