    Can you be a little more explicit? There are several threads here, but your question was kind of vague to give a good answer. What trailer do you have, year& model, and what type of battery set-up?

    I want to put in an on off switch in the wiring between the fuse and battery.

    the set up is the standard 12V RV battery in the front shroud.

    I use the Blue Sea System Battery Switch. It's pretty robust and can be mounted in several different ways. There are other styles--some similar, some different--though all are just a basic on/off switch.

    Side Post Battery Master Disconnect SwitchSimple, safe, and very rugged. Also easy to install at the battery. Two models available to fit different types of battery posts.

    This is the new Perko switch (made in the USA) I recently installed in the tub of my trailer.  Keep in mind that this switch is much larger than the smaller Marinco switch shown, but it appears to be well made, is a sealed unit and heavy duty.  If you were to make a circle with both hands, that is about the side of the switch housing but this doesn't deter me any as it is doing the job thus far.

    JustJohn - Like the simplicity of that and it looks fairly fail proof. Of course, I don't need one, my battery's never off :-)
