Custom Self-Inflating Sleeping Pads

I purchased a couple of the ALPS XL self-inflating sleeping pads (with pillows) and we used them on our recent trip up into Northern Michigan. The pads themselves are very durable and seem to be quality made items, but are too long (77" in length) for the 72" width, wall-to-wall sleeping distance in the trailer. Basically the pillow ends up being tilted upwards and you slide down or nearer to the wall with your feet. In my case I had to sleep on somewhat of a diagonal position and my legs were cramped up and I ended up with some knee pain.

I'm wondering if any of you sleep wall to wall and use a self inflating sleeping pad and what your recommendations would be in purchasing a suitable self-inflating pad that is 72" long (without the pillow) and would at least inflate upwards of 2-3" in height off the bed? The ALPS self-inflating XL pad is 30" wide, 3" max lift and 77" long and it's too bad they don't make the 72" pad with the same dimensions minus the pillow.
Any thoughts and suggestions?
Thanks!

REI has a self inflating mattress [Thermarest type] 2.5 inch thick, 25" wide x 72 " long, we have used this for the last 2 years. They are the only ones that have a 25" wide in a 72" length, everybody else had 20" wide in 72" length, otherwise their wider ones only come in 77" length. We use ours from back to front. $89.95

I just checked their site and they also have a 3.5 x 25" x 72" self inflating mattress.

Can you provide a link to the mattress? Thank you!Mike - Elmira, Mi / 2019 T@B 400 / 2021 Chevy Silverado LTZ

Okay, this one must be the pad you are referring to that you currently use.Mike - Elmira, Mi / 2019 T@B 400 / 2021 Chevy Silverado LTZ

Correct, deflate and roll them up and put in back, the storage behind the sofa back

I bought the 77" one on purpose. I just tuck the valve ends under the cushions. I like the REI ones that are 3" thick and you can buy sheets for them and a very nice down cover for it.2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

I've got the REI 72x25 - Works great.

@Ratkity, how do you tuck the valve end under the cushion? And are you talking about sleeping side to side? I love my 30" wide one because Sunny insists she HAS to sleep on the mattress....yes, she tries to push me off so she has the mattress! I call her my Velcro puppy!Ratkity said:I bought the 77" one on purpose. I just tuck the valve ends under the cushions. I sleep wheel to wheel. I probably don't fully inflate the mattress. It's all of Harvey's pillows that get in the way!!2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

I tried flipping the mattress around, pillow at my feet, but that doesn't allow for enough foot room and place your legs at an angle.Mike - Elmira, Mi / 2019 T@B 400 / 2021 Chevy Silverado LTZ
