TAB: Wire that runs through chain and is attached to hitch

I prefer to have a separate eye bolt mounted to the TV that is completely separate from this whole hitch assembly. I have seen trailers along side the road still attached to the hitch assembly that has come completely loose from the TV. A rare occurance I'm sure, but if you're going to do it why not do it right. This wire is a last resort after other things have already failed.2016 T@B MaxS, 2018 Jeep Rubicon 4dr, Rural Scottsdale, Az.

Has anyone used this as a replacement?
Mine came with a very open hook that always seems like it could be bounced off abdbthe straight wire is always in the way of something. Amazon reviews are good and was wondering what forum thought:
