Thanks Judy and Plaxted - I must have forgotten about the usb port when I looked at the T@Bs (so many things to remember). That port will be good for my Kindle and phone. And I'll get an inverter for a laptop --- then when boondocking be mindful of the draw on the battery (plan on using solar) - a lot to learn but I'm slowly getting there!

mickietucs - FYI (as mentioned in another thread) - I have an inverter but for some reason it errors out when using it to charge my laptop in the T@B. I take that same inverter and hook it up in my TV and it charges the laptop just fine. It also works for everything else (camera/mouse batteries, bluetooth speaker recharge), just not my MacBook.

PXlated - I'd be curious to know why that's happening inside the T@B. The little I've read about inverters talks about using a pure sine wave one for computers rather than the modified wave types. But that wouldn't explain why you're getting an error message using it in the T@B and not when in the TV. Has the dealer or factory given any insight?

mickietucs - Have no idea and nobody else has been able to come up with anything either. I've had the inverter for quite some time and don't have the manual anymore so can't check the error code. I may buy a new inverter and see what happens but I've gotten into the routine of charging the MacBook as I'm rolling down the road.Once I'm on location I run the generator for an hour in the morning to charge everything up and my solar handles the rest during the day.

Mike - thank you for the helpful response and everyone for their posts...all helpful to this newbie. We have now disconnected from shore power and removed the battery, disconnecting the positive lead. The battery is dead it seems so we'll need to get a charger for it. All learning experiences.Elaine ~ 2013 T@b U, aka Lei-la. TV 2010 GMC Terrain

JD - I would hook the disconnect up to the positive terminal and eliminate any voltage into the trailer.Mike - Elmira, Mi / 2019 T@B 400 / 2021 Chevy Silverado LTZ

Mike...thanks! That's exactly what I did yesterday!
