Searched the forum with no avail...looking for pics and ideas from someone who has split their back long storage lid that is behind the couch in a "S" model.  Thanks :)  @dsatwork

    I'm pretty sure Verna did that to do some of her cool scroll work. Hope this helps.

    Thanks @ericnliz ...we quickly discovered on our shake down what a pain it was to get into one section of the cabinet with the stuff we keep on the top :)@Verna  Thanks again!  Really love the scroll work :)

    2017 Tab Basic S Silver on Silver with Sofitel Cushions....upgraded from 2013 LG 5W....Towed by a 2016 Sorento V6 AWD w/5000lb tow capacity. Dave S. married to Jen aka SanDiegoGal We pull a Tab but live in a 2014 Airstream International Signature 27 FBQ...Talk about embracing a trailer lifestyle.

    I can see cutting a section on the right and putting hinges on it.  This would make access to the glycol easier.  What is the reason for having the other two sections?  All I see in ours is the heating vents and no area to store anything...

    The newer models (ours is a 2017) has a storage access there and splitting the lid allows to us to access three individual areas and not have to remove everything off the top shelf just access something that is in the middle or one of the side areas. We have baskets with our clothes stored on top of the shelf.

    Thanks for the info... I'm waiting on a delivery for 2 - 2x14 vents I ordered.  I was going to make just one cut for glycol access, but perhaps I'll just hinge the whole board..  

    (kind of nice to ponder these weighty problems... instead of real life ones).

    Where did you get those storage bins.  We have been looking for something to fit in this space and haven't found it.  These are great.
