Solutions for the Fantastic (Light) Fan

We've dealt with the bright Jensen and fridge lights interfering with going to sleep, but does anyone else have trouble staying asleep with the light streaming in through the fan? At home I'm usually up with the sun, but on the road, I sometimes try to wring just a few more bits of sleep. I think I incorporate the wonderful bird sounds into my dreams, but the light shouts WAKE UP!

If you don't need to use the fan, you can get a Camco 45195 RV Vent Insulator to block the vent.

Command strip Velcro and either dark cloth, coroplast, poster board, etc. Using the Velcro will allow you to still use the FF if you choose.

@JohnDanielsCPA Thanks, I didn't know such a product existed!  Since we sleep cool all year long, I'm going to kick around  @Verna's idea for a nightshade. I swear it acts like a T@B solar tube.

I actually love the light coming through the fan. It is like having a solar tube, a morning light without the blinding too bright LED shining into my eyes.

We put a black fantastic ultrabreeze cover over ours, now we can leave it open in the rain and when we're towing.  And best of all, now there's barely any light coming in to wake us up in the mornings.  Now if I just had a round blackout shade for the door...

@ericnliz My eyelids must be thinning as I age. I swear the fan light shines right through them. Tiny venetian blinds attached horizontally should do it.

But then I'd wake up thinking I was blind! Not too quick in the head before my morning cuppa quota.

I bought that Camco vent insulator.  Our fans are not recessed and there is no room for the pillow to wedge.

Here is one more option. This comes 16x25 inches. I trimmed it to fit the inside frame and used 3m Velcro. Blocks all light.
