Small and cheaper power screwdriver for the stabilizer jack

Not wanting to store the standard long jack handle I researched what it would take torque wise to operate them. What I found was that the cheapest $30 Ryobi screwdriver, HP44L, had 45 in lb of torque. With the charger and socket it weighs around 1 pound. I tried using a 3D printed socket but it snapped at the first attempt so I ended up buying a 17mm deep socket cutting the hex part off with an abrasive chop saw and then putting a slot in the end with the same saw. The ID of 16.3mm seems to be a good fit on the screw. It ran on the 200 rpm setting, not exactly lightning fast, but a lot quicker and easier to handle. A lot more places to stow this.Chris P

Great idea. I get what you did where you cut the slot but I'm not quite sure what you mean about cutting off the hex part.

Newell - the first part of the deep socket is the 17mm hex section which would normally work on a 17mm nut. You don't need to cut it off but I liked the idea of less weight and better location on the jack leadscrew. In the chop saw it is a very easy cut to make.
