Lund 9436T

Some of you use this Lund 9436T box on your T@B to replace the plastic tongue box. I want to do the same, but according to the manufacturer, the inside dimensions of this item is only 17". So how do you manage to get the Propane Tank to fit?

    Because to the shape of the propane bottle, the highest point of the propane tank goes past the obstruction that you mentioned and allows the lid to shut nicely.

    Do you have the dual-battery setup in there? How hard was it to mount? My LP cover is busted and I'm assessing my options.

    I was thinking of adding a box but was concerned that they don’t have enough airflow
    Does this box allow airflow or is it sealed?

    You would have to cut vents into it for the propane.

    Yes six 2" vents across the bottom for propane and one in the middle and one on top for access to the electrical and hoses. There is a lund box thread with pics and details. http://tab-rv.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1127/lund-box#latest

    Keep in mind that I use AGM batteries, although there may be plenty of venting for batteries, the batteries were not taken into consideration in my design per se.

    @dsatwork, did you re-use the same LP Tank mount - or get a new mount? Also, did you mount your 2 battery boxes directly to the Lund Box floor, or add reinforcement?
