Rain and Wind Clam Shell Kitchen Shelter

I have a TAB Clam Shell - S model and am looking for a way to shield the kitchen from rain and wind. The Tail Veil that the Teardrop Store offers does not work for the TAB only the TAG, etc. Does anyone have a good idea?

I just asked Pahaque about this! If you go to the Pahaque Facebook site and scroll down you will see a picture of "wings" they are prototyping for the r-pod. I asked if these would work with the T@b and their response says that they are working on something that will be released soon! I usually have the side tent and/or awning up and need something over the clamshell to protect against wind so the burners stay lit in wind.Pam (and the husband..+2 golden retrievers)--2016 T@b M@x CS-S Sofitel (towed by a 2015 Jeep WrglrUnlim Rubicon)

Two days ago in Central Washington we experienced rain which blew into CS kitchen area. A canopy might work but we are thinking of small side drapes with snaps. Should be able to pop rivet stainless steel snaps onto aluminum strip on either side of clam shell lid and let "side drapes" hang, or even anchor on underside of trailer. Has anyone tried anything like this? Thanks.Kim & Mary Kay, 2016 CS-S, Spokane, WA

This looks like a good solution. What does it look like from the outside?

We have a coleman canopy with 2 attachable sidewalls for the back of our CS but it hasn't yet had the test of wind or rain.Jaynie and Larry - Palo Alto, CA - 2015 T@B CS-S - Expedition EL - Nights spent in "T@b Spirit of Holly" 97

10X10 easy up gazeebo with sidwalls gives you so much more usable space I cannot imagine an extended stay without one. When positioned right, the hatch opens fully without touching the frame.I use "swim noodles" on the legs just in case they should touch the exterior of my t@b.(not been a problem) I also run the stakes in the ground. Guy lines if you expect hurricane winds. Additional set up time is about 10 min.t@b sofitel max cs/s - Heartland USA

This is our newest accessory as of last season. It shows great promise as it sets up quick and easy and provides good shelter. I have yet to try it with the side curtains.

This could help you with the burner, and it also concentrate heat much better. But it does not replace a tent for shelter.Vagabonds said:I just asked Pahaque about this! I have a big screenhouse but I found that I didn't use it much because I did a lot of one-day stops on my trip last summer and it's a PITA to put up.
I bought a Clam Quick-Set Traveler (with side panels) that I'm going to try out this year. I'm going buy some mosquito netting and maybe some ripstop fabric to "attach" it to the galley.
I did send an email to the company that makes it to suggest to them that they make a version with a "tunnel" that attaches to teardrop trailers and received a somewhat positive response. Maybe if everyone bugs them they'll make one.San Francisco Bay Area

We have the same King Canopy for our Outback, just using it as an awning in front. So far, every time I put it up the rain stops. So I think it is very effective. My kite has the same effect if the wind comes up, makes it go right away.
