Getting new T@B 400. Do I need an Extended Warranty, paint protection, interior protection, etc?

@NCNative, I agree completely with @Photomom. You have already picked a trailer manufactured by one of the best rv manufacturers out there. I don't know how closely you follow all areas of the forum, but NuCamp always seems to go the extra mile or many miles when there are problems with any trailer. When at uCamp 17, they came to us to fix our reported warranty issues (4 minor items that I could have lived with and never had repaired), and while there, found another issue we hadn't noticed. After asking our permission to check it out, they located a problem we didn't know we had and repaired it on the spot. That's Service with a capital S! That's great customer satisfaction and an attitue of caring. They have made us a part of their family, and care about us. Now, your dealer does sound like they're trying to take advantage, and boost the profit margine. I wash the t@b when it needs washing and waxed it once last year. I'll wax it again this year and wash when needed. That's it for exterior care, although I know t@bbers in the south may wax it a couple times each year to protect from the severe sun. We do a yearly check and tighten all the screws we can find. We'll do the requested caulking check and re-application. Our trailer will be 2 yrs old in mid May and we'll get the alde fluid (glycol) changed in the fall to be prudent. We'll get the tires replaced before camping this spring as we already have 18,000 miles on them from sea level (actually in the ocean at the water line) to over 11,000 feet in altitude and from snowy roads to the desert sothwest in July and August. We do just normal maintenance that having had an rv or not, make sense. You can do this too and save money. As far as traveling insurance, we have AAA with the trailer towing package and Good Sam because we travel over the 48 contiguous states and a little overlap isn't bad. Sorry about the novel.
