We purchased an antenna from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WW7H9ZI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and then purchased an extendable paint pole from Home Depot (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wooster-8-ft-16-ft-Sherlock-Extension-Pole-00R0570000/100187303). We use a set of short bungees/ties to secure it to one of the handles on the outside of the T@B. Has worked like a champ for over 2 years now. I am sure there are better set-ups, but his works and is not so difficult to set-up when we get the to site.

I just sort of hang a Mohu Leaf wherever it is convenient, but I'm not a big TV watcher.
There are several setups that involve permanent mountings, etc:

@Burgman After watching a review on the you tube channel "Travels With Delaney" I purchased a King omni directional portable antenna. It comes with an easy to set up tripod, or it can be mounted on the roof of your tow vehicle. Here is the link on amazon:

I recently got this one for my 3-month trip and thought I could either try it inside or outside. I have an extendable painter's pole. Took a 12"x12" piece of 1/4" plywood and installed 2 wing nuts to hold the antenna on (see the holes in the top?). Used 2 clamps on the back that hold it to the pole. Now a question --- I thought it'd work good outside but I didn't pick up but 1-2 stations. Does anyone think the wood would interfere with the signal? Or it could be I'm at a county park in a very hilly section of Vista, CA and the park is in a low point. Maybe not a good line of sight I think ---- just wondered if my mounting hack was the issue. Antenna got good reviews and is ~ a 60 mile range. Thanks!

Line of sight to the transmitters is important. Try one of the antenna aiming guides:
