That's funny I've not seen this

Thank you! Particularly for the photo. I’d been trying to convince my wife to do this. Your photo did the trick!Tabfortwo said:

That's great glad I could help. I used 1/4 birch with a 1/2 square stock to support the shelves and to stengthen the front.

Looks great! I have a place nearby to purchase the birch.Tabfortwo said:That's great glad I could help. I used 1/4 birch with a 1/2 square stock to support the shelves and to stengthen the front.
I’ve gotten the first steps of installing a composting toilet completed in my 400. Once I have it completed I’ll post the steps/photos and finished results.T@B 400 | F150 | Washington State -

That sounds interesting how's the install been?
-
Better than I expected. I was worried it would fit. But the Airhead “household size” works fine. I removed the existing commode, cut a piece of 3/4” plywood to fit the space (shimmed up 3/4” so I wouldn’t have to remove the existing plumbing mount), and attached the commode mounting brackets to the plywood. I didn’t want to drill into the bathroom floor. It sits high, so my next mod will be creating some footrests to make it ergonomic. My wife wants me to cover the plywood with linoleum, which I will do. Then I’ll seal gaps and seams with caulk.Tabfortwo said:That sounds interesting how's the install been?
I did the initial install so we could pee at night without leaving the trailer for a two week trip home from Mesa, AZ to Washington. Worked great! The venting for the solids vault isn’t done yet, so it hasn’t gotten that kind of use so far. Just got home from out trip last night to cold, rainy, potentially snowy weather. So it may be a little while before I complete the job.T@B 400 | F150 | Washington State -
How did you attach the shelves?

I used 1/4 birch with a 1/2 square stock to support the shelves and to stengthen the front.
