@Sharon_is_SAM Good thought. that would not fit the symptom of needing to pull the 30A fuse. The switch could not force a short path to gnd, and the battery appears to disconnect correctly.1 -

100W at 20V is 5A. Even if using 20' of 20ga wire (pretty small) you would only lose 0.5W in the wire or 99.5% efficient :)2
