My 2009 T@B CS had the drains out the bottom of the grate similar to your photos. It's still possible for debris to block them but much less likely. They look clear in your photos.1 -

The only other connection at this time is for a light on the inside of the tub lid. Originally the terminal block was added to facilitate the wiring of two AGM batteries in the tub.1 -
