I really only considered this one and the Honda 2200i. It really came down to power and cost. I wanted dual fuel because I don't like carrying the extra gas tanks. An extra propane tank fits in the steel compartment on the T@B. Outfitting the Honda to dual fuel is an extra expense too. I know folks say a single Honda runs…
I have a second 20lb tank in a milk crate on the platform beside the tub. I plan on getting a third tank to carry in the truck for my dual fuel generator.
We have a Champion 3500 dual fuel. We only run it on propane and will never put gas in it. Works really well and has electric start. That would be 3500 Watts, not kw.
What about this one? Pulsar 2,200W Portable Dual Fuel Quiet Inverter Generator with USB Outlet & Parallel Capability, CARB Compliant, PG2200BiS https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5HD8L9/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_7AGTEFPRY1BZ6092PSZZ
Is anyone out there using an hour meter for their generator? I was looking at something like this for the Champion 2500 dual fuel I have on order.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L6QHZ5J?psc=1&smid=A39T3RFN9L853E&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDpThanks in advance!
@TNOutback, Here is another option... https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/champion-2000w-dual-fuel-inverter-generator It is dual fuel, 2000W on gas, 1600W on propane, rated @ 53DB, comes with a propane hose and can be linked in parallel (should you want to go all out on electricity in your 400).…
Sam's Club has the Champion Dual Fuel 2500 #200962 on sale for $499 right now. This one is slightly different than the #200961 in the youtube video above and has two 2.1A USB ports instead of the single 8A 12volt plugin. For $100 difference in price I can do without the 12volt plug.…
The only change I would suggest is a dual fuel gen/inv. I have a Champion 2500 and have not found problematic to take along, propane would have been more convenient than gas , a choice would be great. In my experience solar is totally undependable in some situations.
Agree. We have just one 100 AH Lithium battery and no roof-top solar, but can easily camp 4 consecutive days without recharge (in Ohio, Indiana). We use our fridge as a cooler in this circumstance. We're headed on a couple month adventure where our minimal setup will be tested. I'm confident our 200 watts portable solar,…
I started with a Honda 1000, then purchased a Honda EU2200i a few years back. Both are "quite" for a generator. I recently purchased a "dual fuel" Pulsar PG2200BIS. It states a 59dB noise level, don't recall the Honda noise levels for comparison. I much prefer the propane option compared to gas. Something to consider…
