One quick comment. Just because you have a "12 volt" battery , the 50% mark to never go below is NOT 6 volts, but rather 12.25 volts, as shown by Jenn's chart above.
Added Dual 6 volt Golf Cart Batteries and downgraded the propane tank to a 5 lb tank in our 2017 T@B CS Max. The fridge in the CS is a 2 ways so the 20 lb tank was a overkill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnKr4yQcnoQ
We just ordered a camco dual 6 volt battery box..will be visiting our neighbour to reweld the propane tank..it needs to be moved a little ...after ordering the 2021 we decided to do 2 6 volts...ugh..hindsight, but since we remove our batteries for winter storage it's doable...
I just finished my two 6 volt battery conversion. Everything is working fine but as soon as I hooked up to my house the fan in the converter came on. I’ve never heard it before now. Everything still working fine with battery switch on or off hooked to shore power. Anyone know why the fan would immediately come on and stay…
Dsatwork: you asked about tongue weight with the 2-6 volt battery install I had done. No, I haven't weighed the tongue weight but I know the difference. A 12-volt battery weighs 45 pounds. A 6-volt battery weighs 65 pounds each so I increased the weight by 85 pounds. It I also more than tripled my battery power. The RV…
I can’t get the older threads to open so I’m opening a new post. Will 2 Trojan 6 Volt batteries fit it a stock Outback tub without significant modifications? I realize I will need to purchase a new battery box. I also would like a picture of the wiring order if they fit. I’m four years on my group 27, time for a upgrade.
Can use 2 6 volt in series or 2 12 volts in parallel. I have 2 12v in parallel and have had good luck with charging (hook up + on 1 battery and negative on other battery)
I experienced the same thing last fall on an extended trip. Battery (dual AGM 6 volt) simply didn't seem to hold a charge like it used to. Took the opportunity to upgrade to single 12v 230 ah lithium battery. Freed up 95 pounds of weight and expect to have much greater capacity.
