My 2004 T@b Kool Cat air conditioner has given us trouble for the last two summers. It has really ruined part of our vacation. I don't enjoy 90 degree weather trying to set up in the afternoon. The first year, the unit moved around and rubbed a hole in one of the "pipes" that held the freon. Our a/c guy fixed it for us.…
1. Yes 2. In 2020 they have installed an entirely different AirConditioning system that is under your benches and has vents throughout the cabin. Every model, both CS-S and CS has the new A/C. On 2019 models, the CS-S has a window unit air conditioner high on the wall in a cabinet. 3a. You could probably have the TVs…
@fstop32 That fan above the A/C was stock on my 2017. Never was rain damaged. And yes as you say, the idea was to prevent overheating of the unit. However, I found that once I took 100% of the exhaust from the back of any unit and forced it outside of the T@B, while letting intake air equalize, I found the fan was…
We bought our 2018 400 after owning a used RPod for six months. The RPod was my first camper and an expensive crash course in repairing floors/subfloors, poor workmanship and the most inexpensive construction along with rebuilding a water heater and replacing an air conditioner. When touring a 400, I was blown away by the…
I found that this Pioneer 9k BTU under-bench heat pump AC unit is now being made. If one had 2020 Tab 400 (still) with Air8, might this be a viable replacement option? It could mount in the same location, and similarly vents through the floor. Sure would be nice not having to cut a hole in the front sidewall! Assuming this…
Being in the camper every day as my office, even just sitting in the driveway, has been a great place to work. Now though, the temperatures are increasing, and it’s becoming more difficult to stay here. Today in TN is bright sunshine, starting out at 50 degrees. I had the heat set overnight for 60 degrees. As the sun came…
My latest mod. I bought two matching cabinet doors to replace the closet door on my Max U. During my first few trips, I found that I was having to move things off of the area above the Air Conditioner or move a dog ( I travel with 3 dogs, so this is a significant logistical drill), to access the closet. I bought two doors…
I love the quiet heat of the Alde, and really appreciate that it doesn't use much propane, and even less electricity when boondocking. And after a night of heavy use, the ice columns from the exhaust vent to the ground are beautiful. But for those who camp at 10F or 0F or below, how warm can you keep the camper? I don't…
Yes most believe you can only discharge AGMs to 50% which as @rh5555 mentioned is not true. They can go down to that 80%. NuCamp even says this on their website. Maximum depth of discharge is 80%, but for best longevity try to keep discharge to 50%. But no damage if discharged to 80%. Our dual stock 6v batteries can give…
First Off, this is not that rare of an event with lots of threads on the topic across several RV Brand Forums. The wiring error changed the 120VAC Neutral, system ground, to a second 120VAC HOT conductor. Normal 120VAC Abnormal 240VAC Since the Convertor Board in the WFCO Power Center is hard wired 'on' it is toast and its…
