Lab, someone purchased a cheap footstool (Target) - the kind with the padded lid and inside storage and placed it at the open edge of the bed to provide a longer bedspace. Someone else rigged a hinged platform either at the end of the dining area bench or off the front of the cushioned bench. How about a blow up square…
The 2 storage tubs pictured in this thread seem to be the only readily available choices. Already have the Plano storage tubs - just a bit large to fit onto my newly installed outback platform, action packer a bit small to fit everything. Does anyone have a sturdy storage tub sized right in between these two? Why o why do…
2012 Wrangler Unlimited automatic. Does well on interstate highways and on steep winding mountain roads. And I removed the backseat and built a platform in the rear. Platform gives me split level storage space. I put an Igloo cube cooler behind the passenger seat and ran a tube from it into the floor drain. No more…
Finished the Platform upgrade with a couple inexpensive Tool boxes from Menards. The large center handles weren’t needed so I removed them and noticed I had a nice square empty spot to fill. I searched for a little storage box that would fit and found one but shortened it a little and added a new base to clear the Aluminum…
I ordered my S model with the aluminum platform and will bolt rubbermaid bins to them for storage. One for clean stuff and one for dirty (sewer) stuff. I thought about the tongue mod but since I plan to mount the spare on the tongue it would be inaccessible.
Just received my front boxes from Sea Biscuit Metal Designs. They look f@bulous. I got a pair of the T@B XL boxes (https://seabiscuitmetaldesigns.com/nucamp-storage-and-accessories/). Very well done. I’ll bolt them on this week after the rain passes through.
I take my Boondock into some pretty knarly situations. I have gotten close to contact a few times. I made sure the storage boxes didn’t overhang the BD platform. I see no need for some of the huge boxes folks put in front.
@TerryV6, where exactly would one order that platform from? We decided after our inaugural trip last week that we will probably need a generator and some extra water storage and that would be a perfect place for it, but I can’t find it on any f the websites.
@YanniLazarus - 2019 the spare tire was moved to the front platform and the 2020 model had the passenger side storage access removed due to the presence of the Air8 air con and the new molded door. Other than that - nothing that would effect use of the Isabella. The 2021 year models had a big change, but I am not sure how…
Lots of threads. Back in the day, the Rubbermaid Action Packers were the storage of choice. Here is an early thread that covers many different options.https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/1985/t-b-aluminum-platform/p1I have the aluminum storage boxes from "Custom Aluminum Boxes" (you can see them in the thread.)…
