I purchased a 2022 T@B 320 Boondock and the dealer kindly agreed to drain the water system and blow out the lines. Yesterday I decided to do it myself and make sure there was no water in the system. I followed the NuCamp instructions and was able to pressurize the system (40 PSI) and blew out a small amount of water from…
We took our 2021 320 Boondock out for the first time this past weekend and had the same experience - no hot water through the taps (cold, then lukewarm for less than 5 seconds, if that). We turned the mixer valve all the way up. Water released from the yellow pressure relief valve was hot, as was water from the low point…
Using a pressure regulator? If not, you have popped the Famous Yellow Flapper Valve. Open up your Alde compartment, and look for a yellow valve. If it is sticking up, that is where the water is coming from. The valve is a pressure relief valve for the plumbing system for those times when a pressure regulator isn't in use.…
The event you noted above is a result of the Alde boiler releasing hot water pressure building up inside the hot water tank via the yellow safety/drain valve. This is normal and shows that the system is operating as it is designed to do. I've seen this occur on one occasion too and discussed it with an owner last summer…
Last weekend's camping trip, the first trip with hot running water, revealed 2 issues: almost no water pressure at the kitchen sink and, as a result, water dribbling back onto the counter around the taps. :frowning: I'm hoping this new water saving attachment will add some water pressure, allow me to redirect the stream,…
The air cushion is created whenever you drain and refill the hot water tank via the yellow flapper pressure relief valve. It's recommended to do this every ten days of use or so.
I remember (I think) a post about a hot water problem. Somebody was getting hot water for a few seconds, then cold water for awhile, then hot water again, and so on. I have tried searching for that post but cannot find it. Does anyone remember such a post? I am having the same issue and would like to know what the eventual…
Just had my first shower while out on a test run weekend (dry camping)… I’ve never had this high of hot water pressure (or this hot) in the 2.5 yrs of owning this trailer. I wonder how long I had check valve disintegration and thermostatic mixing valve clogging issues.
@OrangeCrow ; @Sharon_is_SAM has an excellent suggestion of seeing if Yellow Release Valve will hold pressure when not on city-water, just using the T@B water pump to set water system pressure. =1= If the Yellow Release holds while on Water Pump then your city-water Pressure Regulator is bad (if that is possible) or more…
@kottum with the 320, if you drain the hot water line it will also drain the Alde, although I always flip the yellow pressure relief valve as well. No problem running the Alde on electric or propane without water in the tank. The glycol heats up and will circulate around the trailer for your cabin heat. If there were water…
