The conversion to the 2 6 volt system should not be difficult. Curious, what was the state of charge of your battery before you turned the switch to off? A battery stores best when fully charged and AGMs are known for their limited self discharge.
Sorry, but it sounds like your battery is toast. Were you Boondocking or plugged in while camping? What was your charge before towing home? Is it possible that while plugged in on shorepower you had the Battery Cut Off switch turned off? It will not “trip” on it’s own. Anyway, the 6 volt batteries are lighter individually…
