Have a 2012 TAB recently purchased. Got it home plugged it in to outlet in garage and no power/lights etc. Is there something I should do after plugging it in?
Check the fuse at the battery. It will be on the positive wire inside a small flat small “box”. 30 amp is the normal size for the battery fuse.
There is also a brown box inside, normally on the front of the cabinet under the sofa on the driver’s side. This is the converter, that is used to convert the incoming 120V electrical power to 12V for the lights, etc. The 12V fuses are located inside the converter, as are the circuit breakers for the 110V circuits. Check those fuses and circuit breakers, also.

Also, if you have a GFCI outlet, be sure it's not 'tripped' (there should be a reset button on the face of it - and this one GFCI outlet usually protects all the outlets on that circuit)

Are you sure there is power at the garage outlet you plugged the T@B into?
The T@B's 120V and 12V systems operate on multiple different circuits. If absolutely nothing is working while on shore power, that suggests power is being interrupted at the main 120V breaker or before.
If you know power is getting to the T@B and the main breaker is not tripped, then check the 120V connections both at the converter (brown box) and where the power cable attaches to the T@B. In at least one instance an owner with the same problem traced it to a loose wire at the 30A twist lock connector.
Thanks everyone, this is helpful. What is a 30A twist lock connector?
I was referring to the three-prong receptacle on the side of the T@B into which your power cord connects. Once the cord is attached over the prongs, you twist it to lock the cord in place.
The connections to the receptacle would be accessed from inside the T@B--look under the driver's side bench and just behind the converter. There is probably a cover of some sort you would need to remove (make sure the T@B is unplugged first) to inspect the connections.
If you plugged it into a standard outlet in the garage with an adapter, it most likely has a ground fault on that outlet. Check that ground fault also.

Agree. And I'll add that the reset for the ground fault (GFCI) may not be located on the outlet you are using. It may be on an outlet upstream in the circuit, or even on the circuit breaker in the panel.
