It looks like it could work for left-right turns, and also only if you never drive up/down a 12-degree slope from/onto a level surface, or between any two flat surfaces at 12 degrees angle to each other. Congrats on your new TV, looks like the best solution.

Front hitches are available for some vehicles. Such as my Tacoma. Pretty sure not for Subaru’s. Maybe custom built hitch receiver. But Google or check Etrailer.com. This would allow you to use a boat support. Yakima makes one, Long Arm, I think. Check their website. This would allow you to move the boats forward on the vehicle to provide clearance.
